About Us

Our story and bio in a few paragraphs and photographs.

Honey Dew Naturals is a family-owned business based in Strawberry Plains, TN (just outside of Knoxville) rooted in the values of integrity, sustainability and wellness. Our homestead is the base for our life, business, and community, reflecting our commitment to sustainable and transparent practices. We cultivate a diverse range of herbs and botanicals, which are carefully harvested and crafted into what we offer. Each product reflects our dedication to quality and transparency, allowing families like yours to embrace a healthier lifestyle. What began out of necessity has blossomed into a passion and way of life. As a family, we nurture our land and the community, striving to share the wholesome benefits of natural living with all who seek them.

When our first son was born, our desire to live naturally began to prompt changes in our household. We began phasing out harmful chemicals and incorporating more natural alternatives in household, food, and medicine. Alli spent many hours studying herbs and nutrition. The natural way of life really took hold when our second son was born prematurely. He was born with a compromised immune system, so we explored ways to boost his immunities naturally with herbs and other natural methods.

When our twin daughters were born at 25 weeks gestation, our world was turned upside down. After a long stay in the NICU, lots of prayer and many tough decisions, the girls both came home alive and healthy. Keeping them that way was a challenge, but through much prayer and the knowledge we gained about natural living it was an easier task.

In 2020, our family began our journey as a foster family. It has been one of the most challenging yet beautiful aspects of life to date. All of our children are an absolutely integral part of our day-to-day life including Honey Dew Naturals. Each one, from the teens to the toddlers, has responsibilities that help the function of our home, homestead, business, etc. We are also incredibly blessed to be a part of a community of people who love Jesus, love one another, and live simply. Homesteading and small business management- even just living- was never meant to be done alone and we are ever thankful for the people we are surrounded with.

Homeschooling has allowed our family the freedom to make the most of every experience that unfolds in various settings and situations. From baking together in the kitchen or processing our home-raised meat to running a market booth or communicating with retailers, every experience becomes an opportunity for learning. Each day presents a chance to discover new ideas, cultivate curiosity, and nurture valuable life skills.

Nate Huff

Nate keeps the daily operations of Honey Dew Naturals running smoothly from making products and packing orders to preparing for markets and events. He is a beekeeper and keeps his bees without the use of chemicals, always working to learn more about organic beekeeping. He also mentors new beekeepers and takes part in community educational opportunities.

Alli Huff

When she’s not growing something (like herbs, food, and children), Alli can often be found experimenting with new products and researching. She loves to learn and to share her knowledge of the benefits of herbs and whole foods through one-on-one conversations, teaching classes, and more importantly, passing her knowledge on to her children.

As a family,

when we’re not tending sheep, chickens (egg layers and meat birds), gardens, or in the shop manufacturing our products, we enjoy spending time with family and friends, playing music, country dancing, other various forms of art, swimming in our pond, camping, hunting, fishing, hiking, and anything else that has to do with Jesus, family, and simple living.
